Why buy store-bought salad dressings full of preservatives and allergens when you can make your own. This red wine vinaigrette is light and a great addition to any salad.
Tip: Use mason jars to make and store salad dressings: the sides of the jars often have measuring lines and they stay air tight, perfect for storage in the fridge.
What You Need:
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp dijon mustard
- 1/4 tsp white cane sugar
- 1/4 tsp iodized salt
- A dash of black pepper
To make:
Put all ingredients in a mason jar. Shake!
I tossed the dressing in a dinner side salad with baby mixed greens, sliced tomato and kalamata olives.
