Superfood Smoothie

This creamy superfood smoothie is packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fiber and even has a little protein to boot. Drink 32-ounces as an on-the-go meal or split it with someone for an afternoon snack! Maca, chia seeds, flaxseeds, coconuts, leafy greens, berries and bananas are all considered superfoods. Hopefully this smoothie makes you feel like a super hero 🙂

Makes: One 32-oz serving or two 16-oz servings (approximately)

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 to 2 cups organic strawberries
  • 3 cups organic spinach
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 Tbsp ground flaxseeds
  • 1 tsp maca powder
  • 10 ice cubes

To make: Add the banana, strawberries (stems removed), coconut water, chia seeds, flaxseeds and maca powder in the blender and blend for 30 seconds until it becomes a liquid. Next- add spinach and ice cubes and blend for another 30- 60 seconds, or until it is blended smoothly. Enjoy!
