This raw almond milk is in.sane. I’ve made it for a few friends now and they all could not stop raving about it! (Not trying to toot my own horn but it’s the truth, you gotta try it). It’s really easy to make too. Drink it on it’s own or add it to your morning coffee, tea or cereal.
Makes: 2 cups
Ingredients:
- 1 cup raw almonds
- 2 cups water
- 6 pitted dates
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions:
In a mason jar or airtight container, combine 1 cup of raw almonds with 1 cup of water, 6 pitted dates, 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. Put the lid on, shake it a few times to mix the ingredients and set it in the refrigerator for 12 hours.
Next, pour the ingredients into a high-speed blender, add 1 cup of water and blend for 2 minutes (or until it has a smooth consistency). Pour the liquid into a mesh nut milk bag over a medium-sized bowl and squeeze the milk out of the bag and into the bowl. Discard the excess pulp. Transfer the milk into an airtight container and refrigerate.
