This smoothie is SO delicious. You don’t need any additional liquids because the watermelon is made of more than 90% water- as soon as you blend it, it becomes a sweet, delicious liquid base!
Quick story: I have been working so much at the office (day, night, all weekends) that I haven’t cooked one meal for myself in two weeks straight. Instead of my normal healthy meals, I was drinking large almond and soy milk lattes like it was my job and eating meals packed with preservatives, soy, wheat and not enough fruits and veggies. Another recipe that is so simple and easy to make, but wanted to post it to share the idea. Strawberries are coming back into season and they’re so flavorful, adding them to your water is another great way to enjoy them! I call this ‘cool aid’ because after the strawberries soak in the water, it becomes a sweet fruit beverage.
Simple limeade in a glass makes a nice treat. Half the sugar of regular lemonade, plus vitamins and enzymes from raw lemon and lime. Stock up on limes and lemons at your local farmer’s market and store them in the refrigerator to last longer.
