I used to love slushies but the ones I loved came from a machine and had no actual fruit in them. This slushie beverage is packed with vitamins, minerals and fiber. And unlike the machine-made slushies, this one only has 1 tsp of cane sugar per serving, the rest of the sweetness is from the fruit.
Makes: Approx 48 oz (2- 3 servings)
What You’ll Need:
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, stems removed
- 3 oranges, peeled
- 1 tbsp cane sugar (use raw cane sugar to make this beverage raw)
- 16 oz ice cold water
- 10 ice cubes
To Make:
Fill blender with 16 oz ice cold water. Add strawberries (stems removed) and peeled oranges (note: my oranges didn’t have many seeds, if yours do make sure to remove those as you put them in the blender).
Blend on high for 30 seconds. Remove lid and add 10 ice cubes. Continue to blend for another 30- 60 seconds, or until the ice is chopped. Pour into glasses and enjoy!
This looks delicious!
Thank you Vanessa! 🙂
Yumm, that looks good!
